Biogaz Europe 2014

Focusing in on the details

Biogaz Europe, now in its 5th edition, was the first dedicated biogas event created for the French market and for each consecutive edition has always had as its core objective how, year on year, to take the French biogas market to the next level.

In 2014 the central theme of the event was to focus in on the details. Staged in Saint-Brieuc (Brittany) in the heartland of biogas territory in the West of France, the event tackled head-on key issues that surround the production of biogas today and the implementation of new installations. It was characterised by its treatment in detail of a number of subjects in a series of conferences and technical workshops in parallel to an international exhibition with more than 130 exhibitors, as well as study tours to some special interest sites in the area.

An International Exhibition

The fourth edition of Biogaz Europe in Saint-Brieuc brought together 132 exhibitors and represented companies, including turnkey plant or full system suppliers, consultancies, suppliers of components, gas motors and district heating systems, financiers and legal advice bureaus.

Exhibitors of Biogaz Europe 2014 came from 12 countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, USA), and enjoyed outstanding results.

Conferences and workshops

Plenary session happened each morning in the amphitheatre, and dealt with topical themes intended for a wide audience. Technical workshops have been conducted in nearby rooms, and dealt with more focused practical issues, with as much interaction as possible with the audience.

The event partners (Chambres d'Agriculture Bretagne & Pays de la Loire, Ademe Bretagne, Région Bretagne, AILE, AAMF et TRAME) have all been involved in the drafting of the programme. The AAMF and its coordinator TRAME in particular appeared throughout the programme through capitalisation works and feedbacks from farmers, providing lively and concrete insights into biogas issues from a farmer's perspective.

Conference presentations are now available !
